CCGOP to meet May 14

The Cleveland County Republican Party will welcome Kings Mountain Mayor Rick Murphrey at its next meeting, scheduled for 7 p.m. May 14 at the county administration building, 311 E. Marion St., Shelby.

Murphrey, a lifelong Democrat, and his wife, Sandra, recently changed their party affiliation to Republican.

Republican Party members will discuss the results of the May 8 primaries with Francis DeLuca of Civitas, and the outlook for the November elections. All registered Republicans who live in Cleveland County are invited to attend the meeting.

The Executive Committee will meet at 6 PM.

Registration Deadline Friday, April 13

This Friday, April 13, is the last day to register to vote in time for the Primary Election on May 8.  If you or someone you know needs to register, please visit the North Carolina State Board of Elections website by clicking here or contact the Cleveland County Board of Elections at 215 Patton Drive in Shelby (704-484-4858).

Make sure your voice is heard and that you are able to vote in this important Primary Election!

GOP Meeting April 9

The regular meeting will begin at 7:00PM in Commissioners’ Chambers on the second floor of the Harry Administration Building, 301 E. Marion Street in Shelby.
This meeting will “show case” our local Republican candidates with primaries.  Each will be given 5 to 8 minutes to talk about their candidacy and their qualifications.  There will be NO debate of issues or other candidates; this will purely and only about each individual person. The public is invited.
