The Cleveland County Republican Party recently conducted a two month-long “baby shower” for the Pregnancy Resource Center (PRC) of Cleveland County. During this time members collected baby items such as diapers, baby clothes, baby shampoo, etc for mothers in need. These items, along with $275, was presented to Matt Holland the Executive Director of the PRC at the GOP’s regular August meeting. At the meeting, Holland gave a program about the work of the Center and its upcoming Walk for Life on Sept 7 at Bethel Baptist Church.
In addition State Senator Warren Daniel gave an update on recent legislative actions at the state level affecting pro life issues.

Warren Daniel and his wife Lydia, Cleveland County Commissioner Jason Falls , Shelby City Council member Dennis Bailey, Patti Alexander and Tanzy Wallace, members of the PRC board, and other members of the Cleveland County GOP. Matt Holland, Executive Director of the Pregnancy Resource Center of Cleveland County (PRC) will be the featured speaker at the regularly scheduled meeting for the Cleveland County GOP on Monday August 12th at 7pm in the County Administration Building, 2nd floor Commissioner’s Chambers room at 311 East Marion Street in Uptown Shelby. Mr. Holland will discuss the various programs and services offered by the PRC, plans for their new offices, the upcoming Walk for Life on Saturday September 7, and the impact of the recent abortion clinic regulation legislation passed by the NC Legislature.
In addition, for the past two months the Cleveland County GOP has been conducting a “baby shower” for the PRC, collecting items and monies to help women and their children in need. Baby-related items such as diapers, baby clothes, baby strollers, baby oil, digital thermometers, burp cloths, and other baby care items are all needed . These items will be presented to the PRC that evening. The public is invited to attend and participate by bringing items that evening.
